1. How ClipIQ Works
ClipIQ allows you to select or share a video for analysis. ClipIQ uses artificial intelligence to identify useful information contained in the video, such as products, restaurants, places, recipes, and other subjects.
ClipIQ does not automatically scan your photo library or analyze videos you have not chosen to submit.
2. Videos You Submit
When you choose to analyze a video, the selected video is transmitted securely to ClipIQ's backend service for processing.
The video may then be processed by third-party artificial intelligence infrastructure, including Google's Gemini services, to generate the requested analysis.
ClipIQ uses submitted video content only as necessary to provide the analysis functionality.
ClipIQ does not sell your submitted videos.
3. AI Processing
ClipIQ uses artificial intelligence services to analyze submitted video content.
AI processing may examine visual, audio, and textual information contained within a video in order to identify relevant subjects and generate structured results.
AI-generated results may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Users should independently verify important information before relying on it.
4. Information ClipIQ May Process
Depending on how you use ClipIQ, the app may process:
- Videos you explicitly select or share with ClipIQ
- Information extracted from those videos
- Product, restaurant, place, recipe, and other finding information
- Video timestamps
- Generated thumbnails
- Basic technical information necessary to operate and troubleshoot the service
ClipIQ does not require access to your entire photo library simply to analyze an individually selected or shared video.
5. Stored Results
ClipIQ may store your analyzed findings on your device so that they remain available in features such as My Finds, Saved items, and Search.
Depending on your settings and application functionality, locally retained source-video information may also be used to generate or repair thumbnails and timestamps.
Deleting ClipIQ or deleting applicable stored information may remove locally stored data.
6. Temporary Server Processing
Videos submitted for analysis may be temporarily stored or processed on ClipIQ's server infrastructure as necessary to perform the requested analysis.
ClipIQ is designed to avoid retaining uploaded source videos on its backend longer than necessary for processing.
Temporary server files are removed as part of the processing workflow.
7. Third-Party Services
ClipIQ currently relies on third-party service providers to operate portions of the service, including:
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their respective services and are subject to their own privacy and data-processing practices.
8. Sharing and Selling Personal Information
ClipIQ does not sell your personal information.
ClipIQ does not sell submitted video content.
Information may be transmitted to service providers when necessary to operate ClipIQ, perform video analysis, maintain infrastructure, comply with applicable law, protect users, or protect the security and integrity of the service.
9. Security
ClipIQ uses reasonable technical safeguards designed to protect information during transmission and processing.
Production communication between the ClipIQ application and ClipIQ's backend uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children's Privacy
ClipIQ is not specifically directed to children under 13.
If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Your Choices
You control which videos you submit to ClipIQ.
You may choose not to submit a video for analysis.
You may also remove applicable saved information from the app using available controls or by removing the application and its locally stored data.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as ClipIQ develops or its services change.
When material changes are made, the updated policy will be published with a revised effective date.
